Stress is so present in our lives that we are not even aware of it anymore. Overcoming stress is, at first, understanding the mechanics of it and what practically makes you feel stressed – cortisol.

Think of cortisol as your thermostat for the stress levels. The hypothalamus manages to keep your cortisol levels, therefore the perceived stress in your body, at equilibrium.
