Game Description:

I am Setsuna tells the story of Setsuna; a young woman of incredible inner strength and the sacrifice she must make to save the people of her land. She lives on an island and this island had a custom.

To maintain peace, once a decade, a sacrifice was offered to a fiend on the island. However, one year, the fiend grew violent before the next sacrifice was due. Those living on the island were afraid and tried to calm the fiend by offering a sacrifice; Setsuna, chosen because of her powers of enchantment. Setsuna must leave with her safeguards for the farthest land, where the ceremony of sacrifice will be held.

I am Setsuna is a great homage to the golden age of JRPGs and is inspired by the timeless classic Chrono Trigger. It features beautiful character designs, an incredible soundtrack that features just one piano and varied in-game locales that evoke nostalgia for classic JRPGs.

If you’ve played any old school JRPG from the 16 or 32 bit era, you’ll instantly recognise the style of I am Setsuna but using the latest technology, it delivers an emotionally impactful and memorable story which immerses you in the narrative of Setsuna, whose story portrays heartrending sorrow.

Let us know if you run into any issues with the game but we hope you enjoy I am Setsuna.

  1. Really, you read the text for us? Providing commentary is not reading the text. Do you think we are bunch of illiterates or something?

  2. If they keep going on about how important these sacrifices are then I'm not going to be able to keep watching. The monsters are no less murderous than they otherwise would be. The people who fight and kill them are the ones keeping everyone safe. Not some pretty little girl from a village no one has ever heard of. It's religious B.S!

  3. This game definitely needed Final Fantasy XII's ATB system. Especially if it included a Gambit-esque system. Still say that was one of the best battle systems out there for 3D RPGs.

  4. Hello thanks for all the parts i get the game tomorrow how many hours to finish the game? and after that is there a game+ the game looks like older final fantasy i likes all this serrie thanks for the parts to look greeting Cor from the Netherlands

  5. Tutorials are so frustrating. Games used to come with a manual that people could read at their leisure. Why game companies don't just include a digital manual or some kind of ingame codex you can read before/during gameplay is beyond me.

  6. weird. I find your lack of role playing annoying, normally that wouldn't bother me at all. the main char is supposed be this mostly emotionless mercenary renowned for seeing every job through to the end and here you are being typical nice-guy-mcheropants

  7. UGH the graphics… is this an RPG or a parody? I saw the weird penguinst and wondered if I was watching a Hello Kitty game.

  8. Spritnite stone? sounds like a FF9 ability ripoff. Girl protagonist nope the player is a male mercenary. Defend Setsuna till the end of the game since she must sacrifice herself for the good off the entire world. FF10 ripoff aswell. So much ripoff. Nothing original.

  9. sir just getting your idea what's the best eight FLUX for every tech except for support tech, thanks for the wonderful vid

  10. Great to see you playing this, Keith! The artistic choices are really working well here – the art style, the piano soundtracks, etc.
The writing is pretty damn bad, though. The whole name-change thing is pretty unnecessary, too; and becomes completely ridiculous when it asks you to change Setsuna's.

  11. so boring you didn't swing the sword I would have you're already out of character not carrying through with your task of killing her not letting her die ~^~
